India’s Civil Aviation Minister on Wednesday reported that the ban on international flights to and from British isles has been prolonged until January 7. HS Puri, in a press meeting held yesterday, said that the governing administration is scheduling to extend the ban on flights to and from from United kingdom in a bid to incorporate a new pressure of the coronavirus. “I foresee a slight extension of the non permanent suspension. I will not anticipate that extension to be a lengthy or indefinite extension,” Hardeep Singh Puri advised reporters.

Ministry of Civil Aviation, final week, declared to temporarily suspend all flights originating from British isles to India starting up December 23. The flight ban will be in place till December 31, 11.59 PM. An official assertion by Ministry of Civil Aviation mentioned – “Thinking about the prevailing scenario in the Uk, Indian govt has determined that all flights originating from the Uk to India shall be briefly suspended till 11:59 pm, 31st December. This suspension to start out w.e.f. 11.59 pm, 22nd December: Ministry of Civil Aviation.”

In an special interview offered to CNN-Information18, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri claimed that all travellers coming to India from British isles will be subject matter to RT-PCR tests and will have to bear mandatory 7 days quarantine.
