The homeowners of a Santa Monica beachfront hotel crafted without the need of appropriate permits have agreed to shell out $1 million in penalties and restitution to Los Angeles County, prosecutors stated Wednesday.

As section of the ultimate judgment, the Shore Hotel has agreed to present a specified quantity of rooms at discounted costs, the LA County District Attorney’s Office environment stated.

The civil criticism alleged that developer Sunshine Enterprises violated condition regulation by falsely representing to the California Coastal Fee that the hotel would supply some affordable lodging to replace two more mature, significantly less high-priced motels on the web-site.
